There are several distinctions between the 2020 and 2021 Jetta models. The SE and SEL trim gain a power-adjustable driver’s seat for 2021, and trims with the optional 8-inch touch screen receive new software that enhances voice recognition and navigation and enables wireless smartphone integration.
The Jetta GLI now offers optional adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights.
2021 Volkswagen Jetta Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the 2021 Volkswagen Jetta five stars for overall safety. The Jetta received five stars for its performance in the side crash test and four stars for its performance in the frontal crash and rollover tests.
In all six crashworthiness tests, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the 2021 Jetta the highest Good rating. Models with automatic high-beam headlights received the second-lowest visibility rating, Marginal, while those without received the lowest rating, Poor.
2021 Volkswagen Jetta Interior
The trunk capacity of the Volkswagen Jetta is 14,1 cubic feet. Compared to other compact sedans, this amount of space is relatively generous. The 60/40-split rear seats are not flush with the trunk floor when folded down. Therefore, you can transport more extended objects, but it may be challenging to transport bulkier cargo. And although the trunk is broad and deep, the trunk hinges protrude slightly into the space.
The Jetta sedan seats five passengers. This Volkswagen has ample head- and legroom in both rows, making it one of the most spacious vehicles in its class. The rear legroom is particularly impressive. The front seats are adequate, but additional support may be desired.
