Owners Manual Description
2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Owner’s Manual PDF
The 2018 Alltrack will be distinguishable due to its updated lighting components. All versions feature LED taillights, while the SEL’s running and headlights are LED. Other than that, the Alltrack’s design remains the same.
The Alltrack gives the Golf Sportwagen a faux-SUV appearance with its gray cladding, styled side sills, and polished roof rails. Additionally, this model has a ground clearance of 6.9 inches, a half-inch greater than the ordinary Golf Sportwagen.
This is useful if you find yourself on rutted trails in the woods or if you must drive over packed snow during the winter. Additionally, it makes the Alltrack easier to enter and exit.
2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Engine
The same 1.8-liter turbocharged I4 engine powers every Alltrack as the rest of the Golf lineup, which produces 170 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. Likewise, this is true for both transmissions; front-wheel-drive Golf models with a five-speed manual transmission have 184 pound-feet of torque, while the all-wheel-drive Alltrack adds a sixth gear, allowing for a more excellent torque rating.
2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Interior
Volkswagen chose to leave most of the Alltrack’s interior alone, which is great because there wasn’t much wrong with it, to begin with. The driver’s seat on S and SE models is annoyingly half-powered (you can electronically adjust fore/aft and height position, but moving the heart back requires manual adjustment), and the main USB port is awkwardly positioned deep within the center console cubby. Still, on the whole, the Alltrack’s cabin is handsome, comfortable, and very well-appointed.
